Senior Industrial Engineer – Energy Equipment (Heat Treating, Inspection, Threading, Pipe Making)
Location: Robstown, TX

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Industrial Engineer to join our team, specializing in high-tech energy-related equipment, including heat treating, inspection, threading, and pipe-making equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong operational understanding of this specialized machinery, coupled with experience in preventive and regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and leadership in a fast-paced, high-performance environment. This individual will be a key player in ensuring our equipment operates at peak efficiency and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Expertise: Gain in-depth knowledge of heat treating, inspection, threading, and pipe-making equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
- Preventive Maintenance: Design, implement, and oversee comprehensive preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Troubleshooting & Repairs: Quickly diagnose equipment issues, perform corrective maintenance, and lead efforts to restore equipment to full functionality.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements in equipment design, maintenance processes, and operational procedures.
- Leadership & Team Development: Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance on equipment operations, maintenance best practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, proactively identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective actions.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate maintenance logs, operational documentation, and technical reports, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal procedures.
- Continuous Learning: Stay current on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices related to high-tech energy equipment.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (advanced degrees or certifications a plus).
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance, operation, and management of high-tech energy-related equipment, particularly in heat treating, inspection, threading, and pipe-making machinery.
Skills:
- Strong operational knowledge of heat treating, threading, pipe-making, and inspection equipment.
- Proven experience in preventive maintenance programs and troubleshooting complex mechanical systems.
- Expertise in diagnosing equipment failures and leading rapid repair efforts.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to guide and motivate teams to achieve high performance.
- Strong decision-making skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.

Mill Manager
The Mill Manager is responsible for managing a small OD HFW ERW production line. The Mill Manager is a leader that drives, motivates, and sets clear expectations for the production team. The Mill Manager is responsible for operating the ERW production line in lean efficient manner to optimize profitability. The Mill Manager must prioritize safety, quality, and production efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing the mill operations team
- Responsible for managing production efficiency and hitting production targets • Coach employees to ensure they understand job responsibilities and how they affect internal and external customers upstream and downstream
- Work with engineering team to improve operation efficiency
- Schedule and maintain shift manpower for mill operations and training
- Understand and contribute to production operating procedures.
- Responsible for production CAPAs and NCRs
- Manage, organize, and inventory mill parts and tooling
- Maintain necessary inventory of mill supplies, interface with accounting/purchasing and vendors as needed for resupply
- Submits accurate and detailed production reports
- Maintain ADP Pay System for employee time cards weekly
- Manage employee grievances
- Enforces safety and quality standards
- Reports potentially unsafe conditions and presentssolutions
- Ensures facility cleanliness
- Maximizing yields at lowest cost in accordance with established schedules and quality standards
- Work closely with maintenance management to develop and implement short and long term maintenance plans. Formulate and prioritize maintenance schedule.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Five or more years in steel mill ERW production management
- Familiarity with API 5CT & 5L
- High School degree or equivalent
- Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with individuals and teams at all levels of the organization.
- Experience with inventory management software is a plus
- Proven experience leading a team in past paced manufacturing
- Bilingual is a plus
- Able to work nights, weekends or holidays to meet customer demands
Processing Production Manager – Processing Division
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team in the Robstown, TX facility as an Operations Manager. This individual will assist in managing the day to day operations of the induction Heat Treat facility and the smooth flow of products through inspection and threading. We are a company that values hard work, dedication, longevity and internal growth in the organization. This position requires attention to detail, confident management style and strong communication skills to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Training, planning, scheduling, organizing and overall direction of day to day activities relating to production and equipment
- Determine best operating parameters for processing various chemistries through the heat treatment process
- Establish standard practices for heat treatment process
- Oversee the schedule of the production facility
- Shift change handoffs
- Assist the Plant General Manager in all operations activities
- Personnel management and development
- Hiring and training as needed for departments
- Meet and exceed profitability goals
- Responsible for communicating policy changes from top management to others in supervision and ensures supervisors’ understanding of management philosophies, safety, product handling, equipment capabilities and customer needs
- Provide technical support in the design, manufacturing, installation of process expansion projects, as well as, ongoing equipment maintenance of equipment
- Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by management
Requirements and Qualifications
- 10 years plus experience in an OCTG manufacturing setting required
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
- Team leadership experience is a must
- Ability to work with minimal supervision within guidelines established by the General Manager
- Excellent communication skills
- Must possess great organizational skills
- Desire to grow as a Tex-Isle employee while learning about Tex-Isle operations on a larger scale
- Computer proficiency: Word, Excel, Outlook
- Reliable transportation, punctuality and willing to work overtime/weekends are all required
- Bilingual is a plus
